So, I saw The Dark Knight today...

On a related note, the sound in the theatre of the 12:00 movie got fucked up during the trailers, so the movie played for like ten minutes without sound. I was really pissed...especially when they didn't restart the movie. We left and went to the customer service desk. I was going to be an asshole and demand a voucher, but they beat me to it and gave everyone vouchers in the line (plus we got free tix to the next showing). So...we won.

I went to the Siren Music Festival at Coney Island today to see Islands perform. I like them a lot. They also make me think of Ginny so much (tear). Random though, this guy behind me had a seizure during the set. We all just saw him on the ground when we turned around. Yikes! Then, he got up and walked away. It was bizarre, I hope he was okay...and got some water. It was hot today, bleh.

Um, how awesome is the Watchmen trailer?

My best friend's aunt (the one we crashed with for, um, two months down in California last fall) is in town right now to visit her sister, so we had them up for dinner tonight. It was so good to see her again, she's such an awesome lady, and so funny, and was so good to us. We told stupid surfing stories and she made fun of me for being a crappy cook; just like old times. ♥ I'm just sad her husband couldn't come up, too.

When my parents went to China a couple months ago, they both went temporarily insane at the same time and bought a terracotta warrior. No, really, a full-size, 6-foot tall clay Chinese general who weighs 350 pounds. It took two months to ship over and then my dad had to drive over to Seattle to pick him up last week. He's now standing guard at our back door, and it's simultaneously the coolest thing EVER, and also really freaking scary. I'm going to come home late some night and get the ever-living bejeezus scared out of me.

Have any of you read any Jodi Picoult? If so, do you have a favorite? Everyone and their mom asks for it in the bookstore, and I've heard she's good, and I'm curious.

I realise this is my fourth consecutive Batman-related post. *becomes boring*

I feel like making another post writing about all the things I loved about the movie but uh no time, no words etc. So will just share this ad I found in GQ. I saw it in Vanity Fair as well, but I wasn't about to buy a magazine for one advertisment haha.

So 11 years ago, when I was the shiny age of 13 my mom, my second mom and my pretend brothers started going to see the Phoenix Mercury play. We had done rallies, signed petitions and rocked the vote to get a WNBA team here and when we finally did we were the first in line to get tickets. We have had season tickets since.

Haven't had a chance to go in a while, but TONIGHT! Tonight I am going. And I am SO FLIPPING PUMPED!

Free Willy, guys. It is the best damn movie ever. Why did I only realised it this morning? And. And. THE VIDEO HAD ME IN TEARS. I was a ball of bumbling idiot. I started bubbling to my sister, "OMG. THAT PART. LOOK. HE'S TELLING WILLY TO JUMP OVER THE ROCKS. AND AND WILLY COULDN'T DO IT BUT THE BOY WAS ALL YOU CAN DO IT, WILLY. AND WILLY JUMPED. OMG CRYING. TISSUE. I NEED TISSUE. MY MAKE-UP. SDA;LKJ"

It was a very emotional morning.

My sister and I started talking about what a genius MJ was, and how sad he ended up the way he is now. I must say that I love his music. Especially the humanitarian songs? Heal The World? Earth Song? Only MJ can make a socio-conscious songs so sincere, and so warm, without making them sound so tacky. :(((



Decided to balance out the emo with Age Master, Aiba-chan. ♥

I went to see The Dark Knight again today and omg it was even better the second time round, and I caught a lot more things I didn't notice fully the first time round.

I love how Chris Nolan's Batman films hold up so well after multiple viewings. I bought the Batman Begins DVD shortly after its release and out of all the DVDs I own, I've probably seen it the most number of times.

Also, I finally bought GQ! This picture be so v hot.
